About

Hi, I’m Kai.

I’m an undergraduate student studying Computing Technologies at the University of Hertfordshire.

I work as a SEND Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with autism, ADHD and complex needs. Before that I was a support worker at Watford Mencap, where I supported children, young people and adults with learning disabilities.

I also teach coding to children aged 6 to 12, and I built an AAC symbol-page tool for children who communicate with symbols. At school I took A-Levels in Computer Science, Physics and Psychology.

I keep sessions relaxed and go at your pace, because people learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions.

Safeguarding

I have an Enhanced DBS check, including the children’s and adults’ barred lists, and I’m trained in safeguarding (children and vulnerable adults) and paediatric first aid.
